Morning Easter egg hunt at the Harry's. Face painting, fairy floss and flower potting in the afternoon. Bogart/Bacall film noir double at the Astor with Greggers in the evening. A fab Easter Sunday.

Saturday, 30 March 2013

A day of DIY (potting herbs, an aloe vera plant and a lime tree; and draught-taping all the windows in preparation for winter) isn't the most glamorous way to spend Easter Saturday, but it's quite satisfying.

One of the most inspiring documentaries I've ever watched. I didn't even realise how much gratitude I owed these women until now. Thank you to the filmmakers. And most importantly thank you to these women for fighting on my (and every woman's) behalf.

Farewell to the woman with the greatest laugh I ever had the privilege to grow up with; the woman who took me to get my ears pierced at age 12. RIP, Bets. Proud to have been part of your family.

Six days of not having to go to work! SIX DAYS! (Admittedly, I do have to do some work on the side, but it's not for my primary job...)

Tuesday, 26 March 2013

Empire Spiegelworld. So awesome. Can't recommend it highly enough.

(Spent most of the show with my chin down near my knees uttering "holy fucking crap". Gobsmackingly good.)

Monday, 25 March 2013

Another looooooooong day in the office.  My motivation has hit rock bottom.

Sunday, 24 March 2013

Saw 'Oz the Great and Powerful' today. Terrible script. Just terrible. I expected so much more from Disney... disappointing.

Saturday, 23 March 2013

Discovered an awesome new brunch spot with a lovely friend just returned from Perth; bargain shopped on Chapel St ($60 handbag reduced to $20 and $49 pants reduced to $8!); then spent the afternoon/evening catching up with a beautiful friend, watching 5 more eps of Girls. I call that a Saturday WIN.

Friday, 22 March 2013

"As Rizzo said in Grease... there are worse things I could do"

Catching up on season 2 of Girls and LOVING the zingers. Especially those uttered by Andrew Rannells. He's awesome. The show is awesome. Lena Dunham is awesome.

Thursday, 21 March 2013

Still feel jet-lagged without having any real reason to. Three weeks of working my arse off and my body is shutting down in protest, I guess.

Wednesday, 20 March 2013

Was waiting for it to tick over to 10pm, so I didn't look totally pathetic by going to bed before the clock reached double digits.  #exhausted #nannabehaviour

Tuesday, 19 March 2013

Discovered that two of my (gay) friends are expecting twins via surrogate.  So excited for them. Also hugely amused that the photo which accompanied a newspaper article about their impending fatherhood (one of them is in a well-known pop group), was one taken years ago of the three of us... and that the article was written in such a way as to imply that I'm the baby mama.  ROTFLMAO.

Monday, 18 March 2013

I have a whole day off tomorrow with nothing to do except go to the post office and do some laundry.

HEAVEN.

Sunday, 17 March 2013

I think I'm going to have a shocking case of post-tour depression tomorrow...

Saturday, 16 March 2013

The roadies let us watch the show from the back of the stage... livin' the rock'n'roll dream.

Friday, 15 March 2013

Final show of the tour tomorrow... in Far North Queensland in a football stadium that's never hosted anything other than football.  The bands' dressing rooms are portacabins with no running water. This could be interesting...

Thursday, 14 March 2013

House sparkling - laundry done - packed for Qld tomorrow.  Now to play with the new iPad!

Wednesday, 13 March 2013

Today, I finally treated myself to an iPad... something I've been wanting for two years!!

Tuesday, 12 March 2013

A still-poorly lead singer = his (totally justifiable) non-attendance at the meet'n'greet.

Resulting whinging from an obnoxious mother and her two daughters = me losing my mind at people's self-obsession and lack of empathy.

Monday, 11 March 2013

Worked Saturday, worked Sunday, today was supposed to be a public holiday.  But what I thought would only be a couple of hours in the office turned into nearly 8 hours.  And tomorrow I have a 4.30am wake up call to fly to Brisbane for the penultimate concert of the tour.  Must. Get. Some. Sleeeeeeeep.

Sunday, 10 March 2013

Another big day with the Crüe... left before their set to make the plane home and landed to the news that their set had been cut short and Vince was rushed to hospital with kidney stones. Ouch. Not fun at all.

Saturday, 9 March 2013

Another 17 hour workday... thankful for the nice hotel with the enormous bathtub and huge cosy bed (and a cracking playlist on rage to send me off to sleep!)

Friday, 8 March 2013

61 posters rolled and fitted neatly into my carry-on case, along with assorted other work stuff.  Clothes and toiletries stuffed into handbag.  Ready for the 6am airport pickup.  Ugh.

Thursday, 7 March 2013

All caught up on the latest eps of J-Stew. Rachel Maddow and Sandra Day-O'Connor are amazing women.

Wednesday, 6 March 2013

Awesome: Having the first album I ever bought (when I was 9) signed by the band today.  I'm actually gifting it to my brother, since he's a much bigger fan than I am.

Disturbing (yet amusing): A discussion about hand sanitizer in a goods lift with the crazy drummer from the other band.  I'll never, ever be able to use hand sanitizer again.  In fact, to quote the man himself... "dude, that was sautéed in wrong sauce".

Tuesday, 5 March 2013

Another 16 hour day, another dollar. Literally. Time in lieu is the worst invention ever.

Monday, 4 March 2013

Today I feel a little bit like this... or like I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop.  Sigh.

Sunday, 3 March 2013

Have finally succumbed to Twitter.  I can feel it sucking me into its vortex and I fear my life will never be the same... #hashtagsaremynewcrack

Friday, 1 March 2013

Spent the entire day travelling home from Perth. What a waste. At least it was a work day.
