My acupuncturist can diagnose neck and shoulder pain just from taking my pulse.

Mind. Blown.

Wednesday, 29 April 2015

There's no such thing as a 20 minute mid-afternoon power nap for me - it always turns into a 1.5 hr late-afternoon nap, which transforms me into a late-night power worker who is incapable of getting to sleep before 2am because, ENERGY.

Sigh.

Tuesday, 28 April 2015

The Mater has arrived. This equals bugger all study being done for the next week. Sigh.

Monday, 27 April 2015

Procrastination is not just my middle name, it's also my first and last name.

Ugh.

Sunday, 26 April 2015

No matter how many times I tell myself I'm going to get to bed at a reasonable hour, it gets to midnight and I've found a second wind so ignore the clock and keep working away...

I'll regret this at 6.30am when the alarm goes off.

Saturday, 25 April 2015

Remembering Private Robert Burns (Grandad) and Private Clarence Ephraim Horgan (Great-Uncle Clarrie), who both returned from the First World War; and Private John William George Horgan (Great-Uncle Jack) who was killed at the Somme on 11 August 1918 (age 24).

Lest We Forget.

So frustrating when the one Lit lecture I've been looking forward to all semester isn't uploaded to the website because the guest lecturer couldn't figure out the vodcast system.  Grrrr.

Oh and yes. It was a lecture on Jane Austen. No surprises there, huh?

Thursday, 23 April 2015

Tiny portions and massive prices can only be tolerated when the food is top notch.

Also, hipster chefs are hilarious to watch. And mock.

Wednesday, 22 April 2015

Expectations. Met.

I do wonder about banks... mine's just sent me two new EFTPOS cards, each with different numbers... FOR THE ONE ACCOUNT WHICH I CLOSED MONTHS AGO.

*shakes head*

Monday, 20 April 2015

Have moved to my third desk within the space of two months, due to this ridiculous 'Business Improvement Program' my workplace embarked upon.

I'm moving up in the world though... Desk 1 was in a noisy, shared office with no windows. Desk 2 was in a quiet, shared office with two huge windows overlooking St Kilda Road. Desk 3 is in an office all of it's own with three windows overlooking a courtyard. Woohoo!

Let's see how long I get to stay in this spot for. My money's on two months, tops.

Sunday, 19 April 2015

A little piece of my 14 year old heart is broken today, with the news of the death of Jonathan Crombie. When Gilbert told Charlie that "being smart was better than being good-looking", I knew that every man in my life would be required to live up to the standard he set for Good Boyfriend Material.

(Predictably, no man has ever lived up to that standard)

Saturday, 18 April 2015

In love with my new front-loader washing machine, to the point of washing things that don't really need washing, just so I can watch it at work. Pathetic, isn't it?

Also - scored 100% on my poetry quiz for English Lit. BAM.

The joy of rediscovering my favourite Dusk melts...

Thursday, 16 April 2015

I think I have developed an obsession with Ziera shoes... I just bought my 4th pair within the space of 2 months. Yoiks.

Wednesday, 15 April 2015

Second assignment returned - another Distinction. Not too shabby, I suppose.... given I totally re-wrote the thing an hour before the deadline.

Monday, 13 April 2015

Yes, yes, I do believe I am ready, thank you Hillary.

Sunday, 12 April 2015

Ugh, iiNet. You would have to slow to a crawl on the night I'm trying to complete an assignment, wouldn't you? Time for a new internet provider, perhaps?

Saturday, 11 April 2015

There's a serious amount of procrastination going on today. Like, EPIC procrastination.

Friday, 10 April 2015

Drowning in a sea of research... writing an essay where you're limited to citing between 3-5 sources, but all your best sources cite sources within sources, makes life very difficult.

Thursday, 9 April 2015

My acupuncturist is a magician. MAGICIAN.

Fifteen minutes of needles and moxa and I can move without blinding pain for the first time in days.

SHE IS THE GREATEST.

Wednesday, 8 April 2015

If someone would like to wave a magic wand and fix my back so I can at least walk without stabbing pains, I'd be really grateful.

Or buy me a new sofa. I reckon that'd help too.

Tuesday, 7 April 2015

Finally feeling like I'm starting to get a bit organised.

Just a bit.

Monday, 6 April 2015

Ridiculously lazy Easter Monday. Too much bad food and crap TV. Diet and intense study period begins tomorrow (luckily I don't have to go back to work until Thursday!).

Sunday, 5 April 2015

I am seriously unfit when it comes to uphill climbing... 1000 Steps nearly finished me today.

Saturday, 4 April 2015

Lovely Easter Saturday down the peninsula watching the Rubester tree-surfing. No desire to do it myself, however. #vertigo

Friday, 3 April 2015

It's been a lazy Austen Friday. The entirety of the BBC's Pride and Prejudice followed by Lost in Austen. Bliss.

Thursday, 2 April 2015

Nothing like the impending arrival of an old mate from Sydney to get you running around the house like a loon, giving it the once-over.

Wednesday, 1 April 2015

Ugh. So little achieved today. So frustrating.
