Very excited to see this man tonight.

Please and thank you.

Saturday, 30 January 2016

Reorganisation of the study and living rooms complete. Phew.

Friday, 29 January 2016

The problem with only being allowed to choose a floor sample from a photo is that the colour isn't accurate. I thought I was getting slate/grey. It's more like sand. Oh well. I don't own the place, what do I care?

Also, now the kitchen cupboards REALLY look like they could do with a coat of paint.

Thursday, 28 January 2016

Taking advantage of the non-study period to catch up on the rest of The Affair season 2. Shit's gettin' real.

Wednesday, 27 January 2016

Three days off, one day work, two days off. This public holiday nonsense plays havoc with my routine.

Not that I actually, you know, have one.

Tuesday, 26 January 2016

You know you're getting old when you:

(a) don't bother even listening to the Triple J Hottest 100; and

(b) google the list and fail to recognise a single song on it.

Monday, 25 January 2016

Finished watching Gavin & Stacey with the houseguest tonight. Just in time for the new season of The X-Files to begin. 👽👽

Sunday, 24 January 2016

Can you believe that I've lived in Melbourne for getting on seven years and I'd NEVER been to the Heide Museum of Modern Art until today?

I feel like the first exhibition I entered was making fun of me for this...*

* That's not me, BTW. That's my lovely friend JJ. I was taking the snap.

Saturday, 23 January 2016

First Saturday in ages that I've not had any study to do... bliss.

Although I did scour the course catalogue to plan out which subjects I need to do over the next three years to enable me to do a double major.

#Nerd.

Friday, 22 January 2016

I'm binge watching Gavin & Stacey cos the houseguest's not ever seen it, I am.

And yes, that sentence was written in a Welsh accent.

Tidy.

Thursday, 21 January 2016

I'd say there's a cracking game of cribbage going on in heaven tonight between my Dada, Grandpa Bill, Grandma Nell, Uncle Bill and Auntie May, who left us today, aged 96.

Vale, amazing Maysie. You were one of my staunchest supporters, and most loved of aunties.

Wednesday, 20 January 2016

My new neighbour moved in today.

She was one of the teachers who'd bring her students to all the shows at the theatre company I used to work for in Sydney.

She's also working at the same uni as me.

Tuesday, 19 January 2016

Final essay submitted - at 2.45AM - followed by a full day of work and dinner with friends of my parents.

Exhausted doesn't even begin to cover it.

Monday, 18 January 2016

No way this essay is going to be submitted on time... or make any sense. But the amount of fucks I give about that is minimal.

Sunday, 17 January 2016

History essay done, bar the checking.

Religion essay?

FAAAARK. No idea where to even start.

It's going to be a long night.

Saturday, 16 January 2016

And it all comes down to this yet again. Deadlines looming and I'm futzing around, but get sudden inspiration when I should be sleeping.

AARRRGGHH.

Friday, 15 January 2016

Unbelievably sad again today, this time at the news that Alan Rickman has died. But I love that the first instincts of those who know me best was to call/text/email to make sure I was ok.

My tribe is wonderful.

Also, Gawker's headline was perfect.

RIP good sir, and thank you for the inspiration. Always.

Thursday, 14 January 2016

Guy came into my office to put together my new desk at midday. Still in pieces at 5pm. I could've put together twenty Ikea bookshelves in that space of time, FFS.

Wednesday, 13 January 2016

Thought I'd allowed myself loads of time to crank out two essays.

I really haven't.

Fuck.

Tuesday, 12 January 2016

Someone gave us a DVD of Dance Moms to watch... we made it through one episode and decided it was tantamount to child abuse. Horrific.

Monday, 11 January 2016

RIP, Starman. You fell to earth and blew our minds before floating away in your tin can far above the world. Planet Earth is indeed blue tonight.

Sunday, 10 January 2016

Still no closer to finishing these goddamned essays, but I've done five loads of laundry and cooked up a storm for the week.

Sigh.

Saturday, 9 January 2016

I get my groceries delivered, PLUS I get Hello Fresh/Marley Spoon* and yet here I sit on a Saturday night eating muesli and yoghurt for dinner at 9.30pm because I didn't realise the time and now can't be arsed cooking.

This is probably why I don't have kids. They'd starve.

* I change it up. Some weeks I get Hello Fresh, some weeks I get Marley Spoon. Although I'm leaning towards Marley Spoon as the preferred supplier.

Friday, 8 January 2016

Marginally more productive today than the last few days... but only marginally.

Also, my local post office has been sold out of stamps for four days. How in the actual f--- does something like that happen?! Baffled.

Thursday, 7 January 2016

Sisters FINALLY opened in Australia today. Loved it even more than I thought I would. The phrase "it's Steeeeeeeevvvvvviiiiiaaaaaa" is forever etched into my brain.

Also, this:

Hilarious.

Especially Amy. I've never really given a flying monkeys about Star Wars either.

Wednesday, 6 January 2016

Had planned to spend the entire day studying.

Did I?

No.

Tuesday, 5 January 2016

If 'Procrastination' was a subject, I'd score 100%.

So. Unfocussed.

Monday, 4 January 2016

First day back at work and finally got the acquittal monkey off my back (mostly).

Hallelujah.

Sunday, 3 January 2016

Back to work tomorrow after the Christmas break... sigh.

Saturday, 2 January 2016

When it comes to researching the final two essays due in two weeks, I am really, REALLY great at procrastinating.

Friday, 1 January 2016

Starting the new year with a wardrobe clear out... losing 16 pairs of shoes but still have 22. Yes, that is appalling.
